MISSION

Survivor in Me is dedicated to providing a safe space for survivors of domestic violence to share their stories and find support. Our goal is to break the silence, raise awareness, and connect survivors with the resources they need to heal and thrive.

Aisha Griffin, born on August 15,1984 , is a resilient survivor who has emerged from the depths of domestic violence and gun violence to become an advocate for healing and change. Her life took a dramatic turn on a fatal night in 2012 when she became a victim of a harrowing incident of domestic violence that culminated in a gunshot wound.

The trauma of that night left Aisha with both physical and emotional scars, challenging her to confront the pain, fear, and uncertainty that had become an unwelcome part of her life. In the aftermath of the shooting, Aisha found the strength within herself to break free from the cycle of abuse, determined to rebuild her life on her own terms.

The healing process began in 2016 when Aisha sought professional help and support from friends and family. She embarked on a journey of self-discovery, therapy, and empowerment, gradually reclaiming her sense of identity and finding solace in a community of fellow survivors. During this period, she discovered a passion for advocacy and storytelling, realizing the power of sharing her own experiences to inspire and support others who faced similar struggles.

Aisha Griffin's journey is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Through her unwavering commitment to healing and advocacy, she has transformed her pain into a powerful force for change. In sharing her story, Aisha continues to break down barriers, fostering empathy and understanding while paving the way for a future where survivors can find strength, support, and justice.
